Winter Carnival Brings the Holidays to St. John’s
Laser-light snowflakes and vivid fireworks lit the night sky as members of the University community and their families watched the University’s 18th annual Christmas Tree Lighting on the Great Lawn of St. John’s Queens campus. Held on December 3, 2008, the tree lighting ceremony capped off the University’s much-anticipated Winter Carnival, a three-day celebration of the holiday season complete with Christmas carolers, horse and carriage rides and toy soldiers.
